Hello and Welcome to All!!!

This site is dedicated to information concerning Peter Dupee and his descendants and their families. It reflects the loving, untold hours of work of Karla (DuPree) Harp (daughter of James Edward DuPree referenced herein). Until further notice, Michael DuPree (son of Charles W. DuPree referenced herein) maintains this website. It is our sincere hope you may find that you (or maybe someone you know) are connected with this family, directly or indirectly. Please feel free to email Michael with questions, comments, or information. Would love to hear from you!

Special note: in our family line, the name ‘Dupee’ has been spelled many different ways. Example: Dupe, Dupre, Dupree, Dupry, Depew, Dupuy, Dupoy, Dapuy, etc. So, because your name is not spelled D-u-p-e-e, it doesn’t necessarily mean you have no connection with the Dupees. In fact, the name was changed within the family around 1900 to ‘DuPree’.

Otherwise, at this site you will find some interesting, and hopefully useful, information that may help you find something, or someone, you are looking for. You might check back from time to time as this site will be updated as new information arrives, which you might have already guessed is not often now given the extensive, exhaustive work already completed by Karla until around 2003.
